'Heaven's Gate' in the Tianmen Mountains located in Zhangjiajie, Hunan Province, China

Natural formed hole through the mountain. The temple sitting at the summit takes architectural style and precedent from the original temple built in the Tang Dynasty. A definite addition to the list of places to see in China. Hopefully heading out there Summer/Autumn 2013.

About:

My name is Alex Davison, an architecture graduate from Newcastle Upon Tyne, United Kingdom. As well as an interest in Architecture, I love to travel. Here you can find updates from my travels and some of my architectural works, drawings and photography. As well as my own travel and architectural records, I post inspirations and desired destinations and experiences.

My most recent venture was a 2month journey around the USA, Canada, Mexico city and Costa Rica. Check my archive for posts from that trip over June-August 2011.
